  31.     Are the edges ACTUALLY  0/0/0 RGB?  This should be totally transparent.

  33.     If you have ANY specularity on the polys, they might be showing a 
  34. hotspot.  Also if you have ANY >0 luminance.
  35.  
  36.     All else fails, create custom transmaps in Photoshop/your choice.
